Pioneering Oregon’s Wine Legacy
Founded by Dick Erath in 1968, Erath Winery has grown to be a pioneer in the Oregon wine community. Erath was among the first to see the potential of Oregon’s Willamette Valley for growing world-class Pinot Noir. What began as an experiment in a California garage led to a bold move north, where Dick planted vines on a rugged 49-acre plot in the Chehalem Mountains.
At the time, the region was largely unknown in the wine world. But Dick’s determination and experimentation helped lay the foundation for what would become Oregon’s most respected winegrowing region. His early efforts—from planting non-California clones to producing the first commercial wine in the Dundee Hills—set a standard for quality and stewardship that continues today.
With its elegantly crafted Pinot Noir, Erath captures the true community spirit of Oregon, delivering a wine that offers authenticity and a connection to the land.

The Heart of the Willamette Valley
Erath Winery is rooted in the red soils and cool climate of the Willamette Valley, a region that is now renowned for producing expressive and balanced Pinot Noir.
For more than 50 years, Erath has remained committed to this landscape. The combination of soil, elevation, and marine-influenced weather creates ideal conditions for Pinot Noir to thrive. Each vintage reflects this unique place—one shaped by natural elements and a focused, hands-on approach to winemaking.

Crafted with Purpose and Passion
From the beginning, Erath’s winemaking philosophy has been intentional and grounded. Every step—from site selection to cellar practices—is driven by a commitment to quality, consistency, and respect for the land.
Today, winemaker Leah Adint carries this legacy forward with a style that stays true to the character of Oregon Pinot Noir: light, fruit-forward, and balanced. Her approach brings together classic techniques and a careful eye for detail, ensuring each wine reflects the thoughtful craftsmanship rooted in Erath’s ethos.

A Premium Pinot Noir Experience
Erath Pinot Noir represents over five decades of exploration, patience, and precision. Known for its bright fruit, smooth texture, and food-friendly structure, it offers a clear expression of what makes Oregon wine distinct.
Approachable and rooted in tradition, each bottle is a continuation of Erath’s original vision— to make wines that reflect the land through time-honored processes, so that they may be shared, enjoyed, and savored throughout generations.
