Erath 2006 Prince Hill Pinot Noir Dundee Hills
90 points International Wine Cellar
Bright red. Lively aromas of cherry and black raspberry, with fresh rose and cola undertones. Gently sweet cherry-vanilla and dark berry flavors coat the palate and become firmer on the back end. The tannins back off on the finish, which leaves sweet red fruit notes behind. This has the energy and depth to reward a few years of patience.

Erath 2006 Prince Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir Dundee Hills
93 points - “Year's Best Pinot Noir ” Wine & Spirits
Brisk and lavish at once, this stylish Dundee Hills pinot leads with a dusty red cherry aroma supported by creamy oak. It gains amplitude and complexity with air, and after a day the wine's texture recalls the succulent grip of a Cote de Nuits. Still young, it's worthy of some cellar time, then pour for pork loin.

Erath 2006 Prince Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir Dundee Hills
90 points Wine Enthusiast
An improvement over the 2005 Prince Hill from Erath, this new release is softer, more lushly fruited and better balanced. The butter oak and silky tannins support pretty, plummy fruit; the wine feels soft and yet is knit together with enough structure to avoid becoming amorphous.

Firm in texture, with cinnamon-accented blackberry and peppercorn flavors up front, turning toward mocha and cream as the finish lingers gently.

Erath 2006 Prince Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir Dundee Hills
88 points Wine Advocate
The 2006 Pinot Noir Prince Hill, from a vineyard owned by Dick Erath, was aged for 15 months in 40% new French oak. The nose reveals cedar, spice box, cherry, and raspberry leading to a forward, sweetly fruited, smooth-textured wine meant for near-term drinking, now and over the next four years.
