My favorite of the Erath portfolio is the 2006 Pinot Noir Rocky Hill Vineyard from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. It is entirely planted to the 115 clone. Medium ruby-colored with exceptionally fragrant spice notes, red and black fruits, and earthiness, the wine is layered, savory, and succulent with enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years. This wine is a single-vineyard selection aged for 14 months in 40% new French oak. It will be at its best from 2010 to 2018.
