Erath 2007 Pinot Gris Oregon

85 points  Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine

On the one hand fairly well-focused on fresh melons, limes and the minerally traits of the grape, but on the other a bit thin and bothered by bitterness and trailing heat, this wine is somewhat mixed in its messages, and its pluses are not so many as to make all of its minuses moot.

Light and resiny, with a piney edge to the apple fruit.

Erath 2007 Pinot Gris Oregon

87 points  Wine Enthusiast

Erath is now part of the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates portfolio. The white wines, which have long been a strength of the brand, remain fresh and lightly fruity. The flavors of this young Pinot Gris suggest pear skin, grapefruit and lime, and there are bracing acids providing some additional lift. The '07 seems to show a bit more textural density than the previous vintage.

Erath 2005 Pinot Gris Oregon

“Recommended”  Northwest Palate

Classic scents of pear, apple, and minerals with a faint note of spicy vanilla greet the nose. On the tongue, crisp acidity marries with juicy grapefruit and apple flavors to create a clean, bright, light-bodied sipper. Enjoy with fillet of sole in lemon butter and caper sauce.

Erath 2005 Pinot Gris Oregon

“Oregon's King of Whites Rules in the Northwest”  Wine Press Northwest

They continue to follow Dick Erath's tradition of 'no wood, no malolactic' for this straightforward and friendly drink that starts with a blend of citrus, stone fruit and herbal aromatics. Its wealth of lime-focused citrus gives it nice acidity with a bit of grapefruit at the end. Try with poultry or pork.
